It's been a while....

so i'm sitting here at work and we get a call and then someone comes by telling us to log off of this server that bascially constitutes my job so that they can reboot it; but it's unlikely that anyone will bother to tell us when the server is back up and running, just like they did with all the macro changes that they made last nite...
"I'm typing in 'anode' but nothings coming up!!"
"That's cuz you have to type in 'anc' now."
"Oh really? Did someone tell you that?"
"No, had to figure it out on my own..."

fucking IT people, honestly... ; )

computer acting wonky? doing things against your (the collective's) will? have a suspicious feeling, but your antivirus software tells you different? tired of me ending every sentence with a question? then maybe you should try this link for HouseCall, a third party antivirus package off the internet; i ran this last nite and found six, count'em 6! trojans on my computer that my antivirus software apparenly didn't see...
..now if i could only get my microphone port to work without freezing my whole system up, life would again be worth living

saturday afternoon at the ol football game

so i was at a university football game last saturday and i ran into someone very unlikely, someone whom i haven't seen since at least my fourth year; now i didn't know this person very well; we first met in second year when she was an r.a. (residence advisor) while i was on hall council for the same residence hall. she eventually started dating a guy who lived on tenwarth's floor our first year and by 4th year, i'd heard that he was desperately trying to dump her like last weeks garbage...
anyway, getting back to last week, i was walking to the beer tent with my girlfriend, when all of a sudden out of the blue, someone starts calling my name out from behind me; now it's one thing to have your name called out in public, someone calls out 'hey, george!!' and if your name is george, you look and see someone saying hi to someone else who's name would appear to be george; but when someone calls you by your FULL name, there's no doubt as to who they're talking to, unless you have one of those common names; i unfortunately do not; so as i hear my name and feeling a little uncomfortable that my name has been called out in public, and wondering who knows me in the city that i was in, i turn and see a somewhat familiar face; she says to me 'you don't remember me, do you?', to which i say 'i know you look familiar'; so she tells me who she is and we finish pleasantries, now what? like i said, we weren't good friends or even friends for that matter; so she asks what i'm doing there cheering on the purple and yellow, to which i say 'you gotta cheer for a winning team, it's not like the red and gold have done much since forever...'; at this point i'm a little desperate to get into the beer tent and feeling that the conversation can't go on for much longer, i ask how if she's still seeing the guy who used to live on tenzwarth's floor, knowing that the answer should have been 'no', but boy did i get a surprise when she said 'yeah, he's in baltimore right now; you look surprised'; well, what could i say? obviously not that her boyfriend wanted to dump her 3 years ago; so with that bit of knowledge i beat a hasty retreat into the beer tent to avoid anymore looks of surprise and the possibility of putting my foot into my mouth, not that it would be my fault though...
damn that beer was good, even if it was bud

so this is...

...my first blog!! yay!!!
what do i have to say? well being that i'm currently a bitter fucking bastard (oops! i said 'fucking'... OOPS!! I SAID IT AGAIN!!! am i allowed to say 'fucking' and 'shit' and 'cock' and 'balls', or do i have to say 'EARMUFFS!!first???!?)
anyway, as i said, being abitter fucking bastard, as tenzwarth and tilley can atest to, (believe me boys, it's not for the same reasons as they once were), this means that i HAVE a lot on my mind, whether it be politically or more often than not, inpolitically correct, but i'll get to that at a future time...
in the mean time, i've got a shed to finish building; hopefully i can avoid smashing more fingers today...
